The paper deals with the analysis current situation of the oils sub-sector in Poland, its problems and perspectives before EU integration. The research was run during 1997 year as a part of the Phare ACE Project No P95-2015R "Agricultural and Food Policy in Poland and the Czech Republic: Impact on Performance of Agri-Business and EU Integration. Statistical data and information of this analysis were collected from various polish institutions. The primary data were obtained from some vegetable fats and oils companies in Poland.
