Czech - Austrian cross country cooperation in education

The cross border cooperation is an important factor of the region development on the both sides of the border. The article describes the possibilities and the state of cooperation in education. The most of the contacts between educational organizations 58% were established between 1990 - 1993. It is usually a long-termed cooperation (79%). The initiative in the contact development was made in 47% from the Czech side, in 38% from partner schools. The greatest problem with the cooperation is presented by financial reasons, which influence also the satisfaction and dissatisfaction with its level. The situation in the using of means from the Fond of small projects should improve, 55% of respondents didn't use this possibility.
