The base of Market economy is the price created by the relation of supply and demand. Before 1991 the price was not created by the tree market price but by the directive setting of state institutions. Free price appears with the price liberation after 1991. In our contribution we focused the regional influence into purchasing price development of selected agricultural products in observed years from this. It is visible how the region or regional demand influences the price development in the studied region or area.

On the basis of 26 points of operational and economical character and their levels the competitive attitude of agricultural firms of CR was appreciated with the help of SPACE-method analyses. The results show the economical condition to the beginning of 1998. The results show the economy of the firm in nonstabil entrepreneur's environment, in defensive attitude, weak competitive position, limited possibilities of another development with better power of negotiation of suppliers and consumers. Under unchanged conditions it is not possible to realize the strategy of integration and that is why same firms should start to realize the strategy of liquidation.

The graduates AF JU of the more extensive economic branch had a bigger possibility of self-assertion in the national economy before 1990 too, and they held out more successfully at the labour market comparing with the graduates of technological branches (agronomists, zootechnicians). Younger graduates showed a noticeable adaptability to the social and economic changes after 1990 and their self-assertion is rising in non-agricultural sectors.

The current opinion, very trendy and often presented in our media, on the problems of self assertion of graduates, among other also university graduates, considers as the cause of the current situation the education system itself - the structure of the system, curricula, the pro- portion between theoretical and practical education etc. The newest experience, supported by trends in EU countries, show that a solution of this problem exceeds the possibilities of schools, because the problem itself is determined by the level of economy and especially the dynamics of economic growth and on the other site, by the information flows among all the eligible subjects.
