Elected parameters of agricultural enterprises in higher situated areas of the Czech Republic

Agriculture in higher situated regions in the Czech Republic has a great importance, because into this group of less favored areas fall at about one half of all enterprises. They are concentrated mostly in four geographical areas: Šumava mountains, West - Bohemian area, Bohemian - Moravian highland and North - east Moravian region. The first three of them were examined and results are in this article. These parameters were examined: legal entrepreneurial form, see level of the administrative center, number of employees and specialization. The necessary data were obtained from the Czech Statistical Institution and grouped and classified in different ways.

Oligopoly market is characterized by the production of homogenous commodities with very similar attributes. The market can be segmented into groups of producers - oligopolists by means of cluster analysis. Regression analysis makes possible to derive cost functions for production of this commodity at every oligopoly firm and a uniform price function for all oligopolists. The meat sector in Poland is very fragmented, with low level of horizontal integration, high cost of breeding and relative low quality (high fat content). It indicates a severe decline in beef consumption, accompanied by a dynamic growth in poultry and stabilization in pork consumption. Management of Agricultural faculty is aware of the importance of small business for the national economy. Therefore "Small Business" as a subject has been introduced into the curriculum. In this article the importance of the subject "Small business", its characteristics and a practice application of acquired knowledge are evaluated. The marketing research was done among students of above-mentioned subject in winter term 2000/2001. These students themselves processed the business plans. The attention was given for example to the sphere of business, required financial resources, and realization of their business plans in practice.

The level of the agriculture is one of the most important objectives of the process of enlargement the Czech republic to the European Union. The article presents primary information concerning one part of the management - wage management - in the agricultural enterprises of the montane and submontane region. Strategy of agriculture and risk management

The contribution deals with the relation between agricultural production and risk factors. This relation was studied in 2000 in the agricultural plant in South Bohemian region that farms 3420 ha of agricultural land and employs 140 workers. Risk is a natural companion of all business activities, risk cannot be excluded but its impact on the production can be reduced. Risk can grow into a problem and its solution always involves higher expenses.
