The migration in Czech - Austrian - German cross-country regions

The migration is a problem which has effects on not only the regions from which the citizens come but also on the regions in which they look for the job. It concerns mainly the cross-country regions where there are few job possibilities. After the political changes in 1989 the Czech citizens have the possibility to work abroad, mainly in Austria and Germany. Consumer protection is one of the problems to which Department of trade addicts oneself in its scientific - investigative activity. The results of investigative project were presented during International seminar "Consumer protection in South Bohemian region" on 21 November in Tabor. This seminar took place under the auspices of South Bohemian mayor and in cooperation with Association of Czech Consumers and Department of travel industry. The conclusions of seminar and research approved the rightness of Department of trade scientific - investigative orientation to the consumer protection problemacy.

To realize the measures proposed on the basis of the given research objective it will be necessary to use a monitoring system. The process will consist in monitoring the effectiveness of the measures applied to particular components of the environment, in the evaluation of the effectiveness of subsidies and EU funds. Perception of individual meat perts of pork by czech consumers

The paper is focused on the perception of individual meat parts of pork (loin, neck, ham, belly, shoulder and knuckle of pork) and on the purchasing behaviour of the Czech consumers. Primary data was acquired by means of questionnaires and the research carried out at the beginning of 2002 included 151 respondents. All meat parts such as loin, neck, ham, belly, shoulder and knuckle of pork are according to consumers available in the Czech shops and some of them are too expensive (ham, loin). The article deals with the management and strategy of public lending library, its significance in regional development, spreading of culture, informations, education and knowledge. The stages of development of the Regional Public Library Tábor, its organizational structure, new organizational elements and their evaluation are also mentioned. Development of the Regional Public Library Tábor is weighed up in compliance with the model of strategic management of Thompson and Stricklad. The main strategic projects for the Public Lending Library Tabor are suggested in the article.
A contribution to stochastic projects analysis by using PERT

PERT (Program Evaluation and Review Technique) is a well-known method for planning and scheduling large-scale stochastic projects with random activity durations. The paper deals with an approximation to probability distribution of this random variable by using beta distribution and triangular distribution. Basic characteristics of the triangular probability distribution are derived and compared with the corresponding characteristics of the beta distribution with the same values of optimistic, pessimistic and most likely estimate of the random variable.
