The paper deals with the analysis of the private equity and venture capital investment trends and activities in the European market, particularly in the market of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), in times of financial and economic crises 2007-2009. Basic demographic indicators development in relationships to size of municipality area

The paper is focused on evaluation of the demographic development in the relationship to size of municipality area. As basic dynamic demographic indicators were analysed: live births, deaths, marriages, divorces, net migration, natural increase, total increase. Appreciation of basic development changes and differences of this development in particular size of municipality area follows.Pieces of knowledge introduced in this paper resulted from solution of an institutional research intention MSM 6046070906 "Economics of resources of Czech agriculture and their efficient use in frame of multifunctional agri-food systems".

Positive economics, which is aimed on searching patterns among economic phenomenons and processes, is in submitted paper focused on relationship between economic activity of inhabitants - self-employed persons and thein tax duties - income tax of self-employed persons. This causality was surveyed on sample of 621 municipalities of South Bohemian region in years 2006 to 2008. Contribution is part of the project NAZV Q192A023.

In our work we analysed opinions of reasons and signs of economic weakness of villages. The respondents' opinions of possibilities how to improve the economic weakness of villages and the importance of sources of funding in this article. LFA areas are evaluated as less favoured areas. When we globally evaluate economic weakness of villages we have demonstrated that with increasing number of people living in the village the perception of the village as economically weak is reduced.The greatest cause of economic weakness of villages is considered a high proportion of elderly people and low share of university educated people and poor transport accessibility....

Author in his article describes innovational process as a link among commercial, scientific and institutional area. This conception can be illustrated as a triangle, where each area influences the others by same rate. This triple helix works with different range, quality and effectiveness in whatever region, including the South Bohemia as well. Author introduces a new view on innovational process on the regional level and demonstrates, that the bindings between phases are so important, that every, even particular and long-term ignored deficiency, can affect the whole outcome of the innovational process in the form of stagnation of the regional development....

Economic evaluation of development of milk prices in the Czech Republic and in the European Union

The milk market is one of the most important commodity markets with agrarian products. From 1977 to 2009 it is possible to identify four wholly different periods in the development of purchase prices of milk in European Union countries. The first period is defined in years 1977 to 1990. This phase is associated with an increase in price of realization and a with strong seasonal trend. In the second phase of development (from 1991 to 2002) it leads to stagnation of the prices and it is not measurable any significant trend. The budget is an essential tool for cost management. For management decisions within a company its managers should know the basic comparison of costs and budget. This also applies to financial companies that are in some factors different to the normal procedures. The paper discusses the potential of information added to the financial accounting systems suitable for monitoring the development of budget fulfilling and reporting of information in that type of company.

Controlling is an important management tool. However, it is differently defined. The paper highlights the difference of controlling and audit and difference of strategic and operational controlling.
