Analýza cen potravin v českých retailových řetězcích - vybrané aspekty vývoje

Český trh s potravinami je výrazně ovlivněn vývojem zejména na trhu zemí EU. Ceny potravin mají tendenci dlouhodobě konvergovat k průměrným cenám na unijním trhu a kopírují, až na určité výkyvy, tamní cenový vývoj. Příspěvek si klade za cíl identifikovat vztah mezi vývojem cen na globálním trhu a trhu zemí EU. Dále si klade za cíl analyzovat vývoj cen na maloobchodním trhu ČR a identifikovat na vybraném segmentu potravinářských produktů základní vývojové trendy. Článek se zaměřuje primárně na citlivost vybraných komoditních agregací na globální růst cen. Je analyzován dopad změny sazby daně z přidané hodnoty z 10 % na 14 % na vývoj cen potravin obecně a na vývoj cen vybraných potravin v maloobchodní síti. Z výsledků analýz vyplývá, že český trh s potravinami reaguje citlivě jak na změny cen potravin na trhu globálním, tak i na trhu zemí EU, přičemž určující pro ČR je vývoj cen na trhu zemí EU. Z hlediska reakce ceny na změnu sazby DPH se ukazuje, že růst sazby není absorbován na straně produkce, ale je do značné míry přenesen i do cen spotřebitelských.

Food Price Analysis in Czech Retail Chains - Selected Development Aspects

Czech food market is significantly influenced by EU market development. Food prices tend to converge to the long-term average of prices in the EU market and they copy EU price trends. The paper aims to identify the relationship between the development of prices in the global market and EU market. Another aim is to analyze the development of prices in the retail market in the Czech Republic and to identify the basic trends in selected food products. The article focuses primarily on the elasticity of selected foodstuff aggregations in relation to global prices development. There is also analyzed the impact of changes in rates of VAT from 10 % to 14 % on food prices in general and prices of selected products in selected retail companies. The results of analyzes show that Czech food market reacts sensitively to changes in food prices on global markets as well as on the EU market. It should be highlighted that the influence of EU market on Czech food price development is much higher than the influence of global market. The growth rate of VAT is not completely absorbed by traders and producers and the certain portion of VAT rate growth is transferred into final consumer prices.
