Utilization of clustering analysis for segmentation of the customers' opinion on food-store field services

Optimization of supply in single-period inventory models with random demand

The paper deals with a special type of inventory model with a one-shot supply and with a random demand in a certain period. In the paper, formulas for determination of the optimal one-shot supply are derived in the case both continuous and discrete random demand. This optimal supply ensures the minimal expected loss from excess or shortage of the goods at the end of the mentioned period. This optimization problem can be solved by means of analytical or simulation procedure. In the paper, both these procedures are described and illustrated by a simple concrete example. The simulation is carried out in Excel.

With regard to a competitive environment in the food producer's community are the producers forced to determine the chances of a new product before its introduction on the market. The most consumers make their decisions based on price, on product quality provided by the producer and on their own sensorial evaluation. This consumer's evaluation of the product and the consumer's decision are possible to simulate by the fuzzy logic. The fuzzy logic enables to formalize the human's perception and to work with it. The aim of this article is to describe the fuzzy logic model of consumer's decision, based on the quality evaluation of the product.

The quality assurance of the cow milk on every stage of milk production and processing is needed and after this manner to contribute to the free competition and to the undisturbed market. In the current Czech statutory provisions the qualitative and hygienic standards are given. These standards allow or exclude the milk from the supplies to the milk production.
