Management of the Supply Chain (SC) in food processing industry is not investigated in such extend, as in other branches of national economy. Potatoes are one of many agricultural commodities whose realization on the market is connected with considerable swings. Growing areas were decreased, yield per hectare and the total annual production were very low, and potato prices substantially fluctuated. The absence of domestic potato production had to be supplemented by potato import. The passive balance in the foreign trade with this commodity was deepened. Equal opportunities for regions' development is one of objectives of Czech Republic's and European Union's regional policy in order to guarantee that their demographic, environmental and economic potential is used to the utmost degree. With the lowering of disparities of regions and strengthening their economic and social conditions resources from structural funds play substantive role. Employing resources provided from structural funds should be aimed to efficient use of all conditions and factors to promote desirable development of region.
