The duration of all or some activities in stochastic projects is a random variable. It is advantageous to generate values of random activity durations with beta probability distributions. We can carry out time analysis of stochastic projects by means of simulation.

Nowadays many owners and managers of Czech firms face a problem of finding the right way of development of their enterprise. There is a major share of almost 99 per cent of small and medium-sized enterprises in the economy of the Czech Republic. The owners are very often the only one person in the top management of the firm and they do not have a sparring partner inside the own company do discuss strategic aims and decisions. This paper deals with the theme how to coach a firm on the size level of SME. Coaching instead of consulting can bring a better and quicker improvement in the development progress in a firm.

The article deals with problems of coaching and of its meaning, especially in the area of business activities. Coaching means the methods how to improve utilization of potential of people universally, of managers, of co-operators, of whole firm etc. It's possible to act upon of method GROW (Goal Setting, Reality, Options, Will). Coaching in this article is realized in the frame of the research project of National Programme of Research No. II of Ministry of Education, Young and Sports "Managerial audit as a support tool for sustainable development of small and medium enterprises ". The case study of small firm prepared for coaching is connected.

In development of labour market (unemployment and creation new working engagement) proceeds already longer expressive territorial differentiation. Paper deals with evaluation of labour market in particular Czech regions which can be characterize by means of whole number of indicators gained from Czech statistical office or Ministry of labour and social affairs. Data are by the help of one's from range unit statistical methods - cluster analysis - hierarchical organize to the relatively same groups.

The seasonal changes of fashion makes it possible for the consumers to modify their attachment to social groups, and change their group identities by purchasing newly emerging products as social "symbols". This consumer orientation motivates the social life of Western European societies, too. As fashion changes, these social groups change not only their old cars, but all their commodities from cutlery to laptop. The article deals with results of marketing research, which was aimed for perception of brand name Kostelecké uzeniny a.s., which is one of the biggest producer of meat and meat products. The aim of research was to learn, how are perceived brand name Kostelecké uzeniny by Czech consumers, what expectations are joined with this brand name, what is spontaneous knowledge of brand name and which products are associated with the brand name.

The enterprises represent food processing industry, production of consumer goods and industrial production.
